The Hospitality Internship at Leal Vineyards in Hollister, CA, is a unique, paid, three-month program designed to immerse interns in the dynamic world of hospitality. Ideal for college students, recent graduates, or young professionals pursuing careers in hospitality, events, culinary management, or customer service, this internship offers a comprehensive learning experience by rotating interns through three key departments: Wedding Coordination, Event Operations, and Restaurant Operations. Interns assist with event planning, day-of coordination, vendor communication, guest management, and setup logistics during weddings, gaining firsthand experience in managing some of the most memorable moments for clients. In event operations, interns get exposure to private and corporate events while learning about event infrastructure and how to manage the flow and timing of high-volume gatherings. During their rotation in restaurant operations, interns train with front-of-house teams, learning service etiquette, table management, and guest relation skills within fine and casual dining environments.
The program focuses on building essential hospitality skills, such as communication, time management, multitasking, and teamwork. Interns also gain valuable exposure to the practical side of event coordination and restaurant service, which helps them develop a well-rounded foundation in multiple sectors of the hospitality industry. Participants receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals, expanding their professional networks within the industry. The paid internship also offers the possibility of earning college internship credit based on school approval and strong consideration for full-time employment upon successful completion. The hourly wage for this California-based internship is $17.00, which ensures that students and young professionals can get valuable industry experience while being compensated fairly.
