We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Hospice RN Preceptor to join our team on a full-time basis. This pivotal role combines direct patient care with clinical education and mentorship, focusing on guiding newly hired hospice nurses as they adapt and grow within their roles. The Hospice RN Preceptor is responsible for assessing the educational needs of new nurses, developing tailored orientation plans, and delivering in-depth training that covers hospice clinical policies, procedures, documentation standards, technology use, compliance mandates, and regulatory requirements. This position demands a skilled clinical nurse who not only provides hands-on patient care, including conducting patient home visits as per physician orders, but who also serves as a mentor, coach, and role model for best practices.
As a Hospice RN Preceptor, you will play a key role in ensuring that new nurses are fully prepared to deliver compassionate, patient-centered end-of-life care. You will actively support professional development by offering constructive feedback, facilitating targeted clinical learning experiences, and evaluating preceptee readiness for independent practice. Your collaboration with leadership will help drive initiatives that enhance both clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. This role requires exceptional communication, leadership abilities, and organizational skills, along with proficiency in electronic medical records and mobile technology.
Joining Gentiva means becoming part of an organization that truly values the compassionate care of their patients and the growth of their nursing professionals. We support our associates with competitive pay, a range of benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and career advancement opportunities, ensuring you have the resources and support needed to excel in your role.
