Since 1988, Riverside Health & Rehabilitation has been a trusted community resource known for its compassionate approach to patient care and commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its residents and patients. The facility focuses on delivering exceptional experiences through Platinum Service®, ensuring that every individual under their care is treated with dignity, respect, and personalized attention. Riverside Health & Rehabilitation prides itself on a team-oriented culture that values the contributions of every employee in fostering a supportive and healing environment.
This full-time position involves working primarily on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings, with flexible availability on other days to meet the needs of the facility. The role is integral to the daily operations of either the Laundry Department or the Housekeeping Department, ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and sanitary conditions of the environment are maintained to meet rigorous federal, state, and local standards. Candidates will play a vital role in supporting both residents and staff by managing laundry services or housekeeping functions that directly impact resident comfort and operational efficiency.
In the Laundry Department, the position requires overseeing the processing of laundry and linens, including sorting, washing, folding, and distributing clean items to residents. The laundry attendant is responsible for maintaining cleanliness in assigned work areas, adhering to chemical safety protocols, and coordinating with nursing services for service efficiency. This role demands attentiveness to detail, the ability to manage inventory levels of laundry supplies, and the physical capability to handle heavy equipment and supplies when necessary.
Alternatively, in the Housekeeping Department, the position emphasizes maintaining all areas of the facility in a clean and comfortable condition. Duties include performing daily cleaning tasks such as polishing fixtures, disinfecting bathrooms, cleaning floors, walls, windows, and furnishings, while ensuring adherence to infection control procedures and safety regulations. The housekeeping assistant also supports a safe environment by properly disposing of waste and personal protective equipment and ensuring janitorial supplies are adequately stocked.
Both roles require strong communication skills in English for effective interaction with residents, families, staff, and government personnel. While no prior education or certifications are mandatory, the positions require a responsible individual capable of independent decision-making, following instructions, and handling potentially sensitive situations involving ill, disabled, elderly, or emotionally upset residents tactfully. These roles are tailored for individuals who are committed to contributing positively to the healthcare environment and who thrive in a collaborative, service-focused workplace.
Riverside Health & Rehabilitation offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, medical, dental, and vision coverage, a $10K life insurance policy for eligible employees, supplemental and pet insurance options, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with generous company matching. Additional perks include an employee support program, educational support and tuition discounts through Rasmussen College, team member referral bonuses, shift differentials, and various employee discounts. The facility also promotes work-life balance with generous paid time off and incentivizes engagement through OnShift bonuses and other incentives. This comprehensive package underscores Riverside's commitment to their team’s overall well-being, professional growth, and job satisfaction, making it an attractive employer in the healthcare sector.
