Currently, Immanuel Communities is seeking a full-time Cook to join their team at Yankee Hill Village located at 8401 South 33rd Street, Lincoln, NE 68516. This role provides an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who are passionate about serving others and contributing positively to the lives of residents and colleagues alike. The successful candidate will work an 11:00 am to 7:00 pm shift, five days a week, requiring flexibility with days off. Compensation for this position can go up to $19.68 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, skills, and education. In addition to a competitive hourly wage, a $2,000 hiring bonus is offered, subject to certain restrictions, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to attracting talented and dedicated staff.
The Cook's responsibilities encompass a wide range of cooking techniques, including baking, grilling, stove-top, and oven cooking. The role involves preparing appetizing meals that meet dietary needs and preferences of the residents, while maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene and safety. The cook will also be expected to assist with general kitchen duties, including cleaning, organizing supplies, and collaborating effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations. This position requires a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of culinary experience, ensuring that candidates possess the foundational knowledge and skills to thrive in this fast-paced and rewarding environment.
