The position available is for a Hospital Inpatient Paramedic within the CommonSpirit Health Mountain Region. This role is a vital part of the health care team and involves providing safe, effective care under the physician's orders and within established guidelines. The hospital-based Paramedic works closely with the Medical Director, adhering to the scope of practice determined by the Medical Director and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). This position ensures quality patient care and service to meet the healthcare needs of patients and their families.
The Hospital Inpatient Paramedic must be experienced in emergency medical settings, having demonstrated the ability to function well in a team environment. The role requires solid communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to work under medium physical exertion demands. The Paramedic contributes to patient care interventions as a core member of the healthcare team, providing assessments, administering medications, and responding to emergencies as necessary.
Employment type is categorized as other, with a pay range of $22.08 to $33.41 per hour. - High school diploma or GED within one year of hire
- Three years of experience as a paramedic in emergency or pre-hospital setting
- Graduation from accredited paramedic training program
- Current registration as paramedic with Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- Basic Life Support certification
- Ability to communicate in English
- Basic computer skills
- Physical capability to perform medium work with exertion up to 50lbs occasionally
