We are currently seeking Access Drivers to join our team. Access Drivers play a vital role in delivering transportation services for customers with disabilities. Unlike traditional bus drivers, Access Drivers do not need a Commercial Driver's License, making this position accessible to a broader pool of applicants. These drivers are responsible for operating passenger coaches on demand as scheduled, providing fare collection, and ensuring the safety and comfort of all passengers, including those requiring mobility assistance. Access Drivers must be competent multi-taskers who can navigate routes, communicate effectively, and handle challenging situations with patience and professionalism. The role demands a strong focus on customer service, safety, and operational efficiency. Compensation starts at $19.00 per hour during training, and upon completion, drivers earn $20.50 per hour with top pay reaching $27.65. New drivers are eligible for a $2000 hiring bonus, paid in two installments after applicable taxes. Metro also offers a range of benefits including comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance, a free transportation pass with discounted dependent passes, and retirement benefits beginning 90 days after employment.
