The Front End Runner position at ShopRite is a vital role within the customer service team, responsible for enhancing the overall shopping experience by delivering friendly, accurate, and efficient service at the checkout area. This role requires the employee to skillfully scan, price, and bag products while interacting with customers in a courteous and professional manner. Handling payment transactions accurately, including cash, credit, checks, EBT, WIC, rainchecks, coupons, vouchers, and gift cards, is crucial to maintaining cash integrity and providing smooth checkout operations.
Front End Runners must maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensure all equipment functions correctly, and uphold company policies related to cash control, coupon redemption, and merchandise returns. The role demands physical stamina as it involves standing for extended periods, lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds, and performing housekeeping duties that involve some exposure to dust, cleaning agents, and varying temperatures.
