The Front Desk Representative position involves welcoming and greeting patients and visitors in person or over the phone, managing inquiries, and ensuring smooth front office operations. This role requires excellent customer service skills, strong telephone etiquette, and the ability to remain organized in a fast-paced medical environment. Candidates must be flexible, efficient at managing their time, and attentive to detail to handle a variety of responsibilities effectively. Computer competency is essential for managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and processing payments. The representative will also be responsible for verifying insurance eligibility, obtaining prior authorizations, collecting patient payments, and managing the cash drawer with accuracy. This is a dynamic role that demands a professional demeanor and a strong focus on quality care, making it essential for candidates to have prior experience in customer service, preferably in a medical or optical office setting.
