The Freight Forwarder - Ocean Import position, located at the Innovation Campus Way West in New Albany, USA, is a full-time role within the Air & Sea division. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of shipment transactions, focusing primarily on ocean import activities. The Freight Forwarder will be responsible for reviewing and managing high-volume and complex import and export transactions for major accounts, delivering exceptional, proactive customer service throughout the process. Acting as the primary contact for all parties involved with assigned account contracts, the Freight Forwarder must demonstrate excellent judgment and discretion while adhering to company procedures and cost-efficiency standards. The ideal candidate combines a strong understanding of domestic and international shipping regulations with proficient communication skills and the ability to work productively under pressure. Responsibilities include processing bills of lading, monitoring the quality of service provided, handling hazardous materials in compliance with federal regulations, and preparing shipment quotations. The role also requires vigilance in addressing client concerns promptly and providing detailed guidance to internal teams and external partners. The expected hourly compensation ranges from $19.25 to $26.00, with actual pay determined by factors such as experience, skills, and geographic location.
