The Freight Forwarder, Air Import position based in Phoenix, AZ, falls within the Air & Sea US division of DSV. This full-time role is integral to managing the importation of goods arriving by air, ensuring that shipments are cleared through customs efficiently and delivered on time to their final destinations. The Freight Forwarder coordinates with various parties including airlines, customs agents, and trucking companies, requiring excellent organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities include preparing and submitting necessary customs documentation such as commercial invoices and bills of lading and ensuring compliance with all relevant customs regulations and trade laws. The position demands a proactive approach in tracking shipments, updating customers, and maintaining strong customer relationships while navigating a high-pressure and fast-paced environment. Candidates for this role are expected to have prior experience in freight forwarding or logistics, with a preference for those knowledgeable in air import operations. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with logistics software and systems. Fluency in English is essential, with additional language skills considered advantageous. The role offers an hourly wage ranging from $22.50 to $30.50, dependent on experience and other factors.
