Job Summary
We are hiring Fleet Service Agents to work on the ramp. This is a physically demanding, outdoor role that is critical to the airline's success. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of baggage, cargo, and mail, as well as the servicing of the aircraft while it is on the ground. You will work in all weather conditions—rain, snow, heat, or cold—alongside a team of professionals who pride themselves on safety and speed. This is a union-represented position offering stability and excellent benefits.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Baggage Handling: Load and unload passenger luggage, air cargo, and company mail from aircraft bins and baggage carts. This involves repetitive lifting of items weighing up to 70 lbs in confined spaces (aircraft bellies).
- Aircraft Marshaling: Use wands and hand signals to safely guide aircraft to and from the gate. You are the pilot's eyes on the ground, ensuring wing clearance and safe movement.
- Ramp Services: Operate specialized ground support equipment (GSE) including belt loaders, tugs, pushback tractors, and water/lavatory service trucks. You will position this equipment safely around high-value aircraft.
- De-Icing Operations: During winter operations, you may be trained to operate de-icing trucks to remove snow and ice from aircraft surfaces, a critical safety function.
- Mail & Cargo: Scan and track cargo shipments, ensuring that priority freight is loaded correctly and that dangerous goods are handled according to regulations.

Requirements
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check (including fingerprinting) and drug screen.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, stoop, and work in tight spaces.
