The available position involves supporting drop-off location functions at the Hyde Park Farmers' Market every Sunday from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm. This role is a vital part of the CompostNow team, ensuring that the drop-off process runs smoothly and efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards. The job entails arriving before the market begins to set up the station by 8:30 am, remaining at the station throughout the market duration, and returning the full vehicle after the market ends. Employees are responsible for making sure all necessary equipment—such as bags, lids, and bins—is loaded into the vehicle before leaving for the drop-off station. In addition to operational tasks, this role involves detailed record-keeping: recording each member's status as collected, missing, or damaged on a drop-off list, as well as inspecting each clean bin to ensure it is free of residue before exchanging them. A key part of the position is interacting with members in a professional and courteous manner, engaging them with questions, and providing answers during the market. Employees must also report any issues or accidents involving the vehicle immediately and follow all traffic laws and market protocols for safety and compliance. This position offers a part-time schedule, approximately 6 hours per week, primarily on Sundays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, and pays at a starting rate of $16 per hour.
