The Executive Chef position at the San Diego Zoo is a prestigious role tasked with delivering exceptional culinary experiences across more than 25 outlets with annual revenues exceeding $50 million. This role demands a visionary leader capable of crafting innovative menus that align with current culinary trends, ensuring the highest quality of food and service. The Executive Chef will manage banquet and full-service dining operations, overseeing both food preparation and presentation standards, while collaborating closely with cross-departmental teams including Executive leaders, Event Sales, and Philanthropy. - 7+ years progressive culinary leadership experience
- 5+ years experience as Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a large, multi-unit environment
- Experience in fine dining, catering, high volume quick service preferred
- Bachelor's Degree graduate and certification from an accredited culinary program or equivalent specialized training preferred
- ServSafe Certificate within 90 days required
