The position of Executive Chef at Wesley Court, located at 2617 Antilley Road, Abilene, Texas, offers an exciting opportunity within this dynamic and growing organization. This role is critical in ensuring the culinary experience delivered meets the high standards expected by residents and supports the broader mission of Lifespace. The Executive Chef will take charge of all culinary operations, playing a pivotal role in menu planning, quality control, and ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation regulations. This is a full-time position with an attractive annual salary range from $56,400 to $77,600, reflecting the seniority and expertise required. 
In this role, the Executive Chef will oversee every aspect of food preparation and kitchen management, from directing production activities and maintaining tested recipes to managing vendor relationships and ensuring resident satisfaction through exceptional hospitality. The position demands a strategic mindset to forecast supply needs, optimize inventory levels, and control food costs while maintaining excellent food quality and presentation. Additionally, the Executive Chef will supervise kitchen staff adherence to protocols and standards, implement cost control measures, and conduct inspections to guarantee compliance with production, safety, and sanitation benchmarks. This role requires a hands-on leader with experience in high-quality culinary environments such as fine dining or hospitality, capable of inspiring a team and driving continuous improvement in food service delivery.

                - Bachelor's degree or related culinary degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
 - Five to seven years of chef experience in hospitality, fine dining, or similar environment
 - Food Handler certification obtained within 60 days of hire as required by state guidelines
