The Executive Chef role is a critical leadership position at Oak View Group, specifically at the Mercury Training Facility, the state-of-the-art home of the Phoenix Mercury basketball team. This facility is designed to support elite athletic training, wellness, and nutrition, making the culinary operation an essential part of performance optimization for athletes, coaches, and staff. The Executive Chef is responsible for managing the entire culinary team of 35 full-time and part-time employees, overseeing food operations that meet stringent nutrition and wellness standards, and ensuring quality and consistency in menu offerings. This position demands a visionary leader with hands-on execution skills who can innovate menus tailored to athlete needs, manage budgets and labor efficiently, and uphold the highest food safety standards. The role involves mentoring and developing the culinary team, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment, and collaborating closely with nutritionists, athletic trainers, and medical personnel to align food services with health and recovery objectives. The Executive Chef must ensure that the facilities operate smoothly by managing food inventory, purchasing, kitchen equipment maintenance, and compliance with health and employment regulations. Open availability, including evenings and weekends, professional presentation, outstanding interpersonal skills, and self-direction are required for this role.   • Culinary degree or equivalent experience
