The Food Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire food service operation, advocating for high standards of food preparation and presentation, menu planning, compliance with health regulations, and cost control. This role demands a passionate leader who can mentor and develop kitchen staff, ensuring that services meet both the community's standards and regulatory requirements. The manager will also collaborate closely with the Dining Room Manager and corporate Food & Beverage team to align operational practices and uphold the organization’s Genuine Hospitality Program. A key part of this position is maintaining dietary standards customized to resident needs, liaising with healthcare professionals to tailor menus for special dietary requirements, and continuously ensuring resident satisfaction. - High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of five years supervisory experience in food service
- experience in hospitality, country club, or senior living industry preferred
- strong written communication skills
- proficiency in mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
- budgeting and financial management skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
