The Urban Cafe, located within the Urban Air Adventure Park, is an essential component of this immersive experience. This cafe offers guests a place to enjoy delicious food and refreshments in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The position of Cafe Manager at Urban Air signifies a unique opportunity to lead and enhance the operations of the Urban Cafe while supporting the vision and values of Urban Air Adventure Parks. This role is a hands-on, dynamic position that involves direct engagement in daily operations, including working alongside the team in both kitchen and service areas.
The Cafe Manager’s primary duty is to oversee the entire cafe operation ensuring that all food preparation, service, and customer interactions uphold the high standards set by Urban Air. The role requires a leader who is capable of balancing speed and efficiency with excellent customer service – creating a friendly and supportive environment for team members and guests alike. The manager will be responsible for supervising the Urban Cafe Team, ensuring inventory control, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards, managing deliveries, and handling guest concerns effectively. A key component of the role involves training staff members to prepare the full menu and serve food and drinks to consistently high standards.
This position demands a leader who is proactive, detail-oriented, and motivated to drive excellence across all facets of the cafe’s operation. Urban Air is seeking someone with at least two years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with prior management experience preferred. Food safety certification such as ServSafe is required or must be attainable within the first month of employment. The employment type may be full-time with shifts that can include days, nights, weekends, and extended hours as required by business needs. 
The Cafe Manager must be a role model in upholding Urban Air’s policies, standards, and culture, inspiring the team through strong leadership and effective communication. The manager will also participate in ongoing training and staff meetings to continuously improve the cafe experience. Working in a fast-paced, noisy environment requires the ability to multitask, exercise sound judgment, and maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude. Physically, the role involves standing for long periods, moving around the facility, and lifting up to 30 pounds when handling deliveries or supplies.
