The Events Coordinator role at Faith Church is a key position responsible for supporting the Events Director in ensuring the smooth planning, preparation, and execution of all church-related events. This position demands a creative and proactive approach, requiring the incumbent to utilize invention, imagination, and originality to deliver exceptional event experiences. The coordinator will collaborate closely with various ministry teams and oversee Dream Team volunteers, playing a vital role in facilitating ministry initiatives and enhancing community engagement through well-organized events. This role requires a strategic mindset for recruiting, maintaining, and developing Dream Teams, as these volunteer groups are essential to the operational success and spiritual vitality of the church's events. The Events Coordinator will take on a wide range of responsibilities, including gathering information to achieve quality event production, conducting research and site visits, creating detailed event execution plans and timelines, and proposing innovative ideas to improve event processes. They will act as a liaison with vendors, manage on-site production, coordinate post-event activities such as reviews and thank-you communications, and manage event budgets and finances. In addition, the coordinator will be responsible for facility rentals, appointment scheduling, preparing and modifying contracts, finalizing event content, coordinating technical needs, and arranging catering and transportation as necessary. Leadership is a critical component of this role, as the coordinator must build and nurture a positive team culture within their departments and Dream Teams. This involves mentoring leaders, monitoring their development, and ensuring proper scheduling and preparation for all events. The coordinator is also expected to uphold the church’s values by fostering a spirit-led environment, maintaining personal integrity, and regularly participating in church activities and services. This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a strong customer service ethic with high expectations for quality. The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in event planning or a related field, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and a passion for serving within a church environment. The role entails a typical workweek of 40-45 hours with additional requirements for evening and weekend work during major church events and seasons. Local travel between campuses and occasional overnight trips are expected.
