The role of Event Services Manager at the Kessler Collection involves coordinating all aspects of group meetings, conferences, and social events within the hotel environment. This position is vital for ensuring that each event runs smoothly, fulfilling the unique expectations of clients while maximizing the hotel’s event revenue. The Event Services Manager works closely with the conference personnel and room reservations teams to create detailed event orders that address room blocks, food and beverage needs, meeting setups, billing arrangements, and additional client requests. A key responsibility involves effectively communicating and enforcing contractual agreements to ensure adherence to the agreed terms concerning space usage, catering services, and special concessions. This position also oversees the collection of attrition charges and coordinates the financial aspects by managing guest checks, payments, master folios, and deposits, liaising with the accounting department to maintain accuracy. The Event Services Manager collaborates with culinary operations to craft custom menus tailored to client specifications and ensures proper documentation of all events, modifications, and special requirements. The role demands active participation in organizing site visits, pre-planning meetings, and serving as the primary contact on the event day to swiftly resolve any challenges or concerns. Presence at the start of every function is essential, staying through the meal service to ensure seamless execution. Additionally, this role seeks opportunities to upsell hotel amenities such as restaurants, spas, galleries, and outlets to enhance customer satisfaction and revenue generation. Maintaining up-to-date and organized files both digitally and physically is important for effective communication across departments. Participating in sales and catering conference calls and completing required reporting are further essential duties.
