This position is crucial to the company’s mission of igniting connections behind the scenes and providing unparalleled client support at America’s largest events. You will manage the full lifecycle of event technology requirements, collaborating closely with show managers, on-site teams, and high-profile clients to ensure that every tech detail—from internet access to telephony—is expertly handled. You will participate in planning visits and pre-conference meetings, enabling proactive identification of client needs and anticipation of potential challenges. Your responsibilities will include building tailored quotes driven by event history and strategic client goals, maintaining accurate orders, and communicating changes clearly and promptly. The role also involves resolving billing queries and recommending service upgrades where appropriate, utilizing proprietary software to manage both customer interactions and event logistics. You will support customer service personnel, provide confident responses to inquiries, and play a key role in training junior staff while assisting managers with special projects. In addition, preparing comprehensive post-show reports and coordinating across various departments will be part of your duties. Occasional work in evenings and weekends is expected when events are live, reflecting the dynamic nature of the events industry. Smart City Networks values candidates who excel under pressure, demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, and maintain a professional demeanor even amidst competing priorities. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel is essential, while previous experience or knowledge in telecom or network services will be considered an advantage. The ideal candidate will hold a high school diploma, with a bachelor’s degree preferred, and possess a background in trade shows, hospitality, or telecommunications being a strong plus. Joining Smart City Networks means embarking on a rewarding career path within a company committed to collaboration, innovation, and employee growth. The organization offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan, disability and life insurance, tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, supplemental accident and critical illness coverage, free parking, meal perks, cell phone allowances, and gym access. Candidates must pass a background check and drug screening to be hired. Smart City Networks is an equal opportunity employer that embraces diversity and inclusion, fostering a welcoming and supportive workplace for all employees. By taking on the Event Coordinator position, you will be joining a team dedicated to powering the nation’s biggest and most impactful events, ensuring every connection is alive and every message is delivered flawlessly.
