Heniff Transportation is a leading company specializing in delivering high-quality supply chain solutions across North America, including the United States and Canada. Renowned for its expansive network that includes terminals, transload, and tank wash facilities, Heniff Transportation continuously strives to provide outstanding safety, innovation, and service performance. The company is deeply committed to customer satisfaction and excellence, consistently aiming to foster extraordinary growth and value across the markets it serves. Known for its passionate workforce and strong customer focus, Heniff embraces a culture where employees believe in the importance of their work and take pride in their roles. The organization places justice and employee respect at its core, emphasizing a collaborative culture that celebrates diversity and equal opportunity for all workers regardless of background or status. The company is seeking a highly skilled Driver Manager to join their team. This role is critical to the operational success of the company, responsible for efficient driver assignments and maintaining compliance with company policies and safety regulations. The Driver Manager will play a vital part in ensuring that drivers are effectively utilized and that the movement of goods is safe, timely, and seamlessly coordinated with customer demands and regulatory standards. Reporting directly to the Terminal Manager, this position requires a blend of strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills necessary to manage multiple priorities and incorporate safety and compliance into all decision-making processes. The Driver Manager will develop and sustain professional relationships with drivers to address their needs and maximize their availability. This role requires regular communication with customers, efficient scheduling, and the active use of dispatch software systems like TMW and PeopleNet. The Manager will be adept at reviewing dispatch sheets, processing orders, managing delivery documentation, and ensuring adherence to safety guidelines including those prescribed by OSHA and DOT. Additionally, this position demands flexibility in schedule, willingness to travel occasionally to corporate locations, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer service. Heniff Transportation values experience and qualifications that contribute to operational excellence. Candidates for the Driver Manager role should possess an associate’s degree or equivalent experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, and a minimum of five years of related industry experience—ideally with direct dispatch and supervisory responsibility. Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations is essential, as is a valid driver’s license. Preferred candidates will also have experience in the tanker industry and knowledge about equipment utilization and allocation. The work environment is a typical office setting with the routine use of computers, phones, and scanners. Physical demands may include moderate lifting and continuous alertness to safety requirements. The ideal Driver Manager maintains a positive attitude, reliability, punctuality, and agility to adapt within a fast-paced organization. Heniff Transportation offers a range of competitive benefits to its employees, including health insurance plans, generous paid time off, retirement plans with employer matching, life and disability coverage, employee assistance programs, and more, reinforcing its commitment to well-being and workplace satisfaction.
