This Stewarding Supervisor position involves overseeing the stewarding team responsible for the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of all dishware, glassware, cooking utensils, pots, pans, and other food and beverage-related items. The supervisor ensures that all these items are cleaned to the highest standards using dishwashers and thorough hand washing processes under strict adherence to safety and hygiene protocols. The role also includes overseeing the restocking of supplies, the proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals, the maintenance of cleaning equipment, and the thorough cleaning of kitchen floors, walls, ceilings, and other areas like hot boxes and queen marys within the hotel. The Stewarding Supervisor manages daily activities and assigns specific tasks to the stewarding team to guarantee seamless and efficient operations. They coordinate with other departments such as Banquets, Culinary, Engineering, and Purchasing to align efforts with daily function requirements and hotel-wide events. A key responsibility is ensuring compliance with food safety standards including HACCP, maintaining proper temperature controls, and completing daily sanitation logs. The supervisor also enforces safe work practices to prevent accidents, minimizes waste and breakage, and fosters a focus on energy conservation among the team.
