The Dishwasher role within the University of St. Thomas Dining Services team is a full-time position working 12 months out of the year. This position operates primarily at the St. Paul campus with shifts scheduled from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, including the possibility of weekend hours depending on business needs. The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operation of dishwashing equipment and ensuring compliance with sanitary procedures outlined by the Minnesota Department of Health. This position is essential to the smooth functioning of the university's dining services by ensuring that dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils are clean and ready for use. Duties also include the care and cleaning of the dish machine after meal periods and assisting in general kitchen maintenance such as sweeping, mopping, and managing waste disposal. Furthermore, the dishwasher may provide guidance and oversight to student employees and other workers to maintain quality standards and operational efficiency. This role is designated as Emergency Essential, requiring the employee to report to work or remain on campus if the university closes due to emergencies during their scheduled hours. • High school diploma or equivalent
