OHM is currently seeking a full-time Director of Sales to join the team at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Springfield, MO. This role is critical in driving the hotel's sales performance and requires a dynamic leader with strong organizational and communication skills. The Director of Sales will be responsible for meeting or exceeding sales goals through both personal effort and by leading a dedicated sales team. Key responsibilities include training, mentoring, and managing the sales staff, recruitment, and performance evaluations, while fostering a customer-centric sales culture. The role also involves collaborating with senior leadership to ensure profitability and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
This position requires a proactive approach to marketing, especially for the hotel's food and beverage outlets, and a strategic mindset for developing sales and marketing plans that respond effectively to market trends. The Director of Sales will oversee departmental budgets and manage sales data meticulously, ensuring accurate reporting and adherence to company policies. Engagement with the local community and representation of the company’s interests in various activities such as Chamber of Commerce events are vital parts of this role.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership qualities, excel in communication, presentation, and organizational skills, and be comfortable working in a highly visible, fast-paced environment. Familiarity with software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and hotel sales platforms like SalesPro or Delphi is expected. The role demands the ability to manage competing deadlines, multitask efficiently, and lead a team that consistently meets OHM and brand standards. This position requires moderate physical activity and occasionally lifting over 40 pounds.
