This role functions as the technical and administrative supervisor in all aspects of MCCS operations at MCAS Yuma, supporting several layers of management to ensure smooth program development, execution, and operational oversight. Reporting directly to the MCCS Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff (Deputy AC/S) at MCI West, the Deputy Director acts as a vital link in the organizational hierarchy, offering leadership, supervision, and coordination across all operational and support divisions. The position requires collaboration with various MCCS division directors, multiple base agencies, tenant commands, and other relevant stakeholders to maintain and enhance the quality and effectiveness of the services provided. Responsibilities include providing strategic planning and oversight for both appropriated and non-appropriated fund management, ensuring adherence to DoD and Marine Corps policies, and solving operational challenges that arise. The Deputy Director supports multiple operational and support divisions—including Food, Hospitality & Recreation; Marine & Family Programs; Retail & Services; Semper Fit & Marketing; Human Resources; Finance; Logistics; Compliance and Risk Management; and Procurement—overseeing day-to-day operations and policy implementation. The position serves as a subject matter expert advising senior leadership and ensures that programs meet high standards of productivity, efficiency, and mission accomplishment. Moreover, the Deputy Director maintains security, fraud prevention, and internal control programs to safeguard resources while promoting professional behavior and ensuring organizational effectiveness. The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with high-ranking military and civilian officials, commanders, community leaders, and other stakeholders. This role demands sophisticated knowledge of financial management, procurement, cost control, budget analysis, and manpower management within a complex military environment.   • Minimum of five years of relevant management experience
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a Tier 3 Background Investigation (ANACI) Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must complete Declaration of Federal Employment (OF306) and required paperwork for background investigation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with military and civilian personnel
  • Willingness to comply with drug-free workplace standards
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain secret level security clearance
  • Ability to handle sensitive and sometimes confidential matters appropriately
