The Department Manager role at World Wide Wings is pivotal to the operational success of the restaurant. There are three specific Department Manager positions within the company: Heart of House (HOH) Manager, Bar Department Manager, and Hospitality Manager. Each position plays a critical role in managing their respective areas, ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant, and delivering an outstanding guest experience. The Heart of House Manager is responsible for all food and product matters, staff planning, and team development in the back-of-house area, focusing on safety and profitability through effective revenue and labor management. The Bar Department Manager oversees adult beverage operations, including ordering, inventory control, and compliance with responsible alcohol service practices while managing bar staff and motivating the bar team towards sales goals. The Hospitality Manager focuses on the dining room experience, managing front-of-house staff and ensuring guest satisfaction in the service environment. 
All Department Managers share responsibilities such as staffing and succession planning, recruitment, training, performance management, and coaching. They are also tasked with maintaining food safety standards, adhering to company policies, managing inventory and supplies, and implementing company sales building programs and contests. Managers actively engage with the team to foster motivation and participation in company promotions, handle guest complaints efficiently, and utilize performance measurement tools to identify and address operational issues. The role requires collaboration with other managers and support teams to maintain smooth operations and service excellence. 
Candidates for the Department Manager positions must possess strong organizational and communication skills, be self-motivated, and demonstrate a proven track record in managing multiple priorities within fast-paced environments. A high school education or equivalent is required, and candidates typically have at least two years of experience in restaurant or retail management, with experience managing a full bar preferred for some roles. Physical demands include standing and walking for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to work irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. The role also requires a valid driver's license for travel among units and a satisfactory background check.

 - Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
 - Completion of Buffalo Wild Wings Management Certification program
 - Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays
