The Front Desk Supervisor will handle guest check-in and check-out processes promptly and with a friendly, professional demeanor, accounting for the majority of their time to uphold positive guest relations. They will supervise between three to four desk clerk employees per shift, ensuring that all assigned duties are completed accurately and efficiently during their shift. This includes running and verifying room status reports, managing information regarding guest groups and future bookings, printing cashier reports, and balancing hotel banks and deposits. Additionally, the supervisor plays an important role in maintaining hotel security through key control monitoring and responding promptly to guest inquiries about hotel layout and facilities.
The position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to enforce company SOPs consistently. A typical shift ranges between 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. but may vary according to business needs. This role does not involve physical lifting or climbing and requires the ability to stand for up to 90 percent of the shift, with some mobility to run reports and handle administrative functions. The ideal candidate will have at least 1-2 years of supervisory experience in a hotel or customer relations setting, with solid communication skills in English, a typing speed of at least 35 words per minute, and knowledge or experience with IBM data entry systems.
The Front Desk Supervisor must demonstrate proficiency in cash handling, credit transactions, and strong supervisory capabilities to support continuous improvement in guest satisfaction and operational processes.
