The Culinary Cook position at Eventide Senior Living Communities is an essential role focused on delivering high-quality meals that meet the nutritional needs and preferences of the senior residents. This part-time role requires working from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., including every other weekend and holiday rotations, to support the community's dining services. The role demands strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards while preparing meals according to standardized recipes and techniques. The Culinary Cook not only prepares food but also directs the preparation processes to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with health regulations. In this role, you will engage with various kitchen duties including monitoring portion control, verifying menu item preparation, properly storing leftovers, and maintaining clean and sanitized equipment and work areas. You will be responsible for checking food temperatures and documenting them accurately to maintain safety standards. Additionally, the role includes supervising the dining experience to ensure resident satisfaction, organizing and planning the work schedule in alignment with meal service times, and overseeing catering events within the community, ensuring all meals presented are of exceptional quality and adhere to safety standards. The ideal candidate will bring at least one to three years of culinary experience, preferably with high school diploma or GED, and be at least 18 years old. Compensation is competitive, with a starting pay range of $18.50 to $20.17 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
