This job opening is for a part-time Food Services team member located in Milwaukee, WI, with an hourly wage ranging between $15.43 and $19.28. Working under the Retention & Completion division, the role is integral to the smooth operation of MATC’s food services department. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a passion for excellent customer service. The Food Services team member will assist in various kitchen operations, including preparing and serving food, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting catering functions across district locations. The role requires a high school diploma or GED equivalency and a minimum of one year of related experience, preferably in food preparation or service. This position challenges candidates to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, cooperate closely with colleagues across departments, and uphold safety and sanitation standards in all food handling tasks. Vital to success in this role is adherence to professional and ethical standards, physical stamina to manage lifting and movement tasks, and flexibility to work shifts up to 19 hours per week from Monday to Friday between 10AM and 6PM. In addition to day-to-day duties such as assisting with food preparation, managing inventory, and maintaining service lines, the employee will play a small role in coaching culinary students and student workers, further emphasizing the importance of teamwork and mentorship within MATC’s culinary programs.
