A highlight of the renovation is a unique nighttime experience set in the courtyard, which promises to enhance visitor engagement and create memorable moments.
The Coordinator role supports this exciting transformation and is essential to the smooth operation of the Hospitality and Retail departments. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Hospitality and Retail, this position carries significant responsibility for administrative and operational tasks pivotal to the success of hospitality and event operations at the Museum of Exploration. Responsibilities include managing event logistics, providing sales support, and coordinating foodservice functions. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments as well as with external vendors and partners. The Coordinator will play a crucial role in managing communication channels, maintaining up-to-date documentation and protocols, and supporting budget and procurement activities. A proactive and positive approach to teamwork is highly valued as the Coordinator is expected to step beyond the boundaries of a traditional job description to assist colleagues with various projects and initiatives.

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3 years work experience
- 2 years of related experience in a museum or cultural attraction with a focus on events, hospitality, or foodservice
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide range of staff and external stakeholders
- Ability to filter competing priorities and manage workload to reach team deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication, organizational, and research skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and thorough record keeping
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office and G-Suite tools
