We are currently looking for dedicated and passionate Cooks, or as we say in Spanish, Cocineros, who are the heart of our kitchen and essential to our success. This role is perfect for energetic individuals who love the fast-paced environment of a full-service restaurant and are passionate about food preparation and hospitality. At On The Border, cooks play a critical role in preparing high-quality dishes according to our established specifications, ensuring every meal meets the company’s high standards. The position offers flexible scheduling, ideal for those balancing family commitments, second jobs, or other life responsibilities. Compensation for this role goes up to $18 per hour, reflecting the importance of the position and the skills required.
The cook will be responsible for maintaining the highest safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen, adhering strictly to company policies and procedures. Communication is key in this role, as cooks must effectively coordinate with managers and team members regarding cook times and potential issues to guarantee smooth kitchen operations. In addition to cooking, team members are expected to assist with prep work to stock and set up stations for efficient service.
