The Cook utilizes a range of kitchen appliances such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers to efficiently prepare meals. Additionally, you will handle different cooking techniques, including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming, while carefully garnishing and portioning food to meet established standards.
A critical component of this role is maintaining cleanliness and sanitization of the work environment, equipment, and utensils following Aramark's strict food safety policies. It is vital to store food appropriately to prevent contamination and adhere to health regulations. The Cook will also engage positively with colleagues, clients, and guests, providing excellent customer service and demonstrating professional communication skills. The Cook position may involve physical activities such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and prolonged standing or walking.
