The Cook will have the responsibility to prepare all menu items according to established standards and recipes, ensuring that the food served is of high quality, attractively presented, and delivered in a timely fashion. A strong focus is placed on maintaining health protocols, including hygiene, proper food preparation, and temperature control to guarantee resident safety and satisfaction. Beyond food preparation, the Cook acts as a culinary connector within the community by familiarizing themselves with residents’ dietary preferences and needs, participating in resident orientations, and contributing to a positive dining experience. This role requires a physically active individual who can stand, walk, bend, kneel, and stoop throughout the shift, with the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Working primarily indoors, this position may also occasionally require outdoor event participation. The successful candidate must hold a current Food Handlers Card and be comfortable working around extreme temperatures found in kitchen environments. A criminal background clearance is required to ensure the safety and integrity of the community.
