Canteen is currently hiring for full-time and part-time Cook (COO/K) positions at their facility located at Mann+Hummel, 3200 Natal Road, Fayetteville, North Carolina. These roles feature schedules Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 8:30 pm, with specifics provided during the interview process. Candidates must be enthusiastic about food preparation and committed to maintaining high standards for food quality, safety, and customer service. Cooking experience is preferred but not mandatory, as Canteen offers training to willing individuals. The pay range for this position is between $16.00 and $16.75 per hour, reflecting competitive compensation in line with industry standards.
The Cook’s role is critical in ensuring that food preparation meets all federal, state, and corporate regulations and standards. Responsibilities include preparing food items based on standardized recipes, ensuring food is delivered on schedule, and adhering to strict food safety guidelines such as HACCP standards. This position requires attention to detail in maintaining kitchen cleanliness, managing inventory, and operating kitchen equipment correctly. The role also involves record-keeping, assisting with production planning, ordering and receiving supplies, and promptly reporting any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors. A strong commitment to workplace safety is essential, including the use of protective gear and adherence to safe food handling practices.
