The role of Meetings & Event Manager at ACC is an exciting opportunity for a detail-driven professional to join the dynamic meetings team. This position primarily focuses on planning and executing ACC’s Annual Scientific Session, attracting between 17,000 to 20,000 attendees, along with other internal and external meetings and events. The Meetings & Event Manager will play an integral role in managing all logistical aspects of large-scale conferences and meetings, including site selection, contract negotiation, registration and housing management, audiovisual requirements, food and beverage coordination, and onsite event management. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, such as Maritz Global Events, the incumbent ensures seamless execution aligned with organizational goals, budgets, and timelines. This role requires superior organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, and a customer-service orientation tuned to the needs of a diverse group of stakeholders including executive leaders, medical professionals, vendors, and partner organizations. Based in Washington, DC, ACC offers a hybrid work environment allowing for a blend of remote and onsite work. The position also demands flexibility to work beyond standard hours as needed, including evenings, weekends, and onsite event days, approximately 15% of the time annually, with possible travel commitments. The salary range for this position in the DC area is between $75,000 and $90,000, reflecting factors such as experience, education, and local market cost of labor.
