This position offers an hourly pay range of $26.40 to $32.48 and is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement with SEIU-UHW. Employees are required to join the union within 31 days of hire and maintain membership for the duration of the agreement. The role involves variable shift start and end times, with shifts typically lasting 10 hours, and weekend work is required as needed. The job does not require on-call duties. 
The role centers on providing outstanding customer service and information assistance to both internal and external customers of Sharp HealthCare. The individual in this position will supervise and train front desk volunteers at the Registration and Information (R&I) desk, ensuring that all guests receive helpful and courteous support. This position requires one year of customer service experience, preferably in an acute healthcare setting, and a high school diploma or equivalent. 
Responsibilities include accessing hospital databases to provide accurate information to visitors, patients, and staff, clear and polite communication, managing phone calls and appointments, assisting patients and visitors with directions and check-ins, and maintaining a positive and organized lobby environment. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with hospital units for the handling of patient belongings and lost and found items, supporting volunteer training and supervision, and collaborating with coworkers to deliver excellent service and resolve issues effectively. 
Candidates should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to use communication equipment efficiently, and a working knowledge of computers.
