The Concierge position at the American Cancer Society represents a crucial role within the organization’s guest services team. Serving as the first point of contact for all guests, the Concierge is responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring that every visitor experiences a welcoming, safe, and supportive environment. This position handles guest check-in and check-out procedures, provides information regarding lodge amenities and local community resources, and coordinates transportation and program services such as the EMPOWER Program. The Concierge responds promptly to guest inquiries, special requests, emergencies, and any concerns to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. This role requires strong organizational skills to maintain an orderly front desk area and accurate guest records. Additionally, the Concierge oversees lobby security, implementing safety protocols to protect guests and staff. The position demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and multi-line phone systems. Candidates should be able to work independently, handle a fast-paced environment, and exhibit exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities. The work schedule is Sunday through Wednesday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, and although this role involves minimal travel, it requires physical endurance to perform duties that may include extended periods of standing, walking, assisting guests with luggage, and other manual tasks. The starting hourly rate is $18.59, with the actual pay based on relevant experience, skills, education, and geographic location.
