Recognized multiple times as a Great Place to Work, Sunrise Senior Living emphasizes a workplace culture where employees feel valued, supported, and motivated to make a meaningful difference. At Sunrise Senior Living, the mission is to empower residents to live longer, healthier, and happier lives through personalized care and engagement, making it an ideal environment for professionals passionate about serving others and fostering a nurturing community. Sunrise at Mount Vernon seeks to hire a Concierge, a pivotal role within the community recognized as the initial point of contact for potential residents, families, and visitors. The Concierge serves as the welcoming face of Sunrise Senior Living, extending warmth, professionalism, and exemplary customer service. This employment opportunity is designed for individuals who take pride in shaping first impressions and managing essential communication channels, both internally and externally. The role entails answering inbound calls with a friendly greeting, accurately taking messages, and providing comprehensive community information to callers. The Concierge collaborates closely with the Director of Sales and Executive Director to support ongoing recruitment, marketing, and administrative efforts. Furthermore, the Concierge is entrusted with sustaining a clean and inviting front desk and Bistro area, including managing refreshments to ensure a pleasant atmosphere for visitors and residents alike. Beyond reception duties, the Concierge contributes to safety and compliance within the community by adhering to risk management protocols and emergency response procedures. This position demands meticulous organization, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The Concierge also supports various administrative tasks such as maintaining resident and team member rosters, processing meal tickets, handling mail distribution, and assisting with recruitment data entry. Additional responsibilities include supporting sales and marketing initiatives—ordering welcome gifts like flowers and guest meals for new residents, maintaining marketing materials, and assisting with customer relationship management databases. The Concierge plays a key role in fostering resident and family engagement by managing appointments and sending thoughtful communications such as get well and sympathy cards. Working as part of the Sunrise team, the Concierge embodies the organization’s Principles of Service, Core Values, and Team Member Credo. This employee not only facilitates daily community operations but also contributes to an inclusive and supportive workplace culture through active participation in team engagement activities and training. Sunrise offers a rewarding career path with opportunities for personal growth, competitive compensation tailored to location and experience, and a comprehensive benefits package. The benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance plans, retirement savings options, employee assistance and discount programs, paid time off including sick and holiday pay, innovative pay options like myFlexPay, and tuition reimbursement programs. Performance-based bonuses may also be available. Sunrise fosters a safe workplace, requiring employees to pass pre-employment drug screenings (excluding marijuana) and comply with health and safety testing protocols. Vaccination requirements comply with relevant legal mandates.
