As a part of this highly regarded community, the role of Concierge is pivotal in maintaining Harbor's Edge's reputation for exceptional resident care and service. This full-time position demands a dedicated professional who is experienced in senior living environments, specifically in settings such as long-term care, assisted living, and memory support. The Concierge is the face of Harbor's Edge at the front reception desk, responsible for greeting and assisting residents, visitors, staff, and vendors both in person and over the phone in a courteous, efficient, and professional manner. The role requires managing visitor sign-in processes, distributing badges as per protocol, providing accurate information about community programs and services, and maintaining a welcoming and secure front desk environment. The Concierge must ensure confidentiality regarding resident information, demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills, and have the ability to multitask effectively while fostering an atmosphere of warmth and respect.
In this position, the Concierge also supports logistical functions such as coordinating transportation requests, assisting residents with errands like dry cleaning and grocery services, managing mail and package distribution, and supporting the planning and registration of resident activities. The role involves cash handling and balancing daily financial transactions with accuracy, maintaining lobby cleanliness and orderliness, and occasionally supporting other departments with clerical duties.                 - High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
 - At least two (2) years of related work experience with the elderly and dementia populations
 - At least one (1) year of secretarial training or clerical experience preferred
 - Ability to read and write, follow written and verbal instructions, and communicate effectively
 - Ability to work with the elderly population in a courteous, friendly, productive manner, demonstrating patience, compassion, flexibility, adaptability, and interpersonal skills
 - Ability to consistently perform duties with consideration for resident's rights, demonstrating integrity and confidentiality in the care of the residents and in handling their health information and all personal/confidential information
 - Demonstrate service excellence through daily interactions and be skilled at active listening
 - Demonstrate excellent organizational, attention to detail, multi-tasking, and time management skills
 - Work independently and exercise sound judgment
 - Observe proper safety protocols and appropriate sanitary techniques
 - Demonstrate proficiency with applicable computer programs and databases, including Microsoft Office Suite
