Our organization serves diverse populations of all ages and backgrounds through an extensive array of social services tailored to meet the unique needs of each community we serve. As an employer, LCSNW prides itself on fostering a supportive and empowering environment where staff members can thrive and focus on delivering meaningful results to those who rely on our services.
The role of Community Outreach Coordinator within LCSNW is a pivotal position centered on managing and enhancing the volunteer program specifically for Yamhill County. This position involves the strategic oversight of recruiting, training, appreciating, coordinating, and managing volunteers who contribute their time and talents across various district programs. Working closely with the District Leadership Team, the Community Outreach Coordinator ensures that volunteer efforts align with the goals and needs of the district's programs, facilitating effective community engagement and support.
This role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with key volunteer sources such as higher education institutions, businesses, service clubs, schools, and churches to continually draw in dedicated volunteers and interns. Keeping abreast of volunteer needs, the coordinator regularly monitors and reports on progress toward fulfilling these requirements. This includes leveraging presentations, tours, recruitment events, and collaborations with Leadership Council members to maintain agency volunteerism's high visibility in the county.
In addition, the Community Outreach Coordinator works in partnership with program managers and advancement staff to design smooth workflows that transition volunteers from recruitment through placement and training. Creating a high-quality volunteer training program that sustains volunteer engagement and supports program goals is a critical part of the job. The coordinator also oversees fundraising and special volunteer projects, ensuring volunteers receive meaningful recognition for their contributions.
LCSNW offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employee well-being and work-life balance. Employees enjoy a 37.5-hour workweek, medical, dental, vision, and prescription benefits, employer-paid short- and long-term disability insurance, life insurance coverage, paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays including floating holidays. The organization supports retirement planning through a 403(b) plan with employer matching and provides access to an Employee Assistance Program for staff and their families. Additionally, employees may be eligible for student loan forgiveness due to LCSNW's nonprofit status.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about community service, volunteer coordination, and nonprofit work who want to make a tangible difference.
