The Manager role at Hopdoddy supports the General Manager in all areas of the restaurant’s operations. This leadership position is essential for ensuring high standards in sales, cost management, team member growth, guest satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and safety. The role demands a hands-on leader who can direct, lead, and coordinate planning, organizing, and training efforts to achieve business objectives.
As a Manager, you will be instrumental in fostering a positive work environment by coaching and developing team members, overseeing restaurant profitability by managing labor and food costs, and ensuring operational excellence. The Manager will engage in staffing processes, from interviewing and onboarding new team members to conducting performance reviews and facilitating continuous training. Leadership by example is expected in maintaining operational standards, ensuring excellent guest service, and upholding the Hopdoddy hospitality culture.
This role requires thorough involvement in administrative duties including scheduling, payroll reconciliation, paperwork management, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Additionally, the Manager will contribute to business development activities by supporting marketing efforts, analyzing sales data, and participating in the execution of sales strategies to drive restaurant growth.
Team building and employee relations are critical components of the role, and the Manager is expected to motivate staff, provide ongoing feedback, and maintain a respectful and productive team environment. Performance management and personal effectiveness through consistent behavior, problem-solving, and efficient multitasking also fall under this position’s scope.
This position is ideal for candidates who have at least 3 years of salaried management experience in full service or fast casual environments, possess strong leadership skills, and are motivated to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused setting. - Must demonstrate good math and communication skills
- Minimum 3 years experience as a salaried Manager in full service or fast casual restaurant
- Demonstrated leadership skills including coaching, directing, and motivating a team
- Exposure to P&L and sales building highly desirable
- Must be able to lift 30lbs frequently and up to 80lbs occasionally
- Able to operate office/restaurant equipment effectively using all limbs, fingers and must have ability to see
- Ability to stand, bend, and walk entire workday
- Able to work under high degree of physical, mental and emotional stress in fast-paced environment making timely decisions
