The Clerical Assistant role at Providence Elderplace Oregon is an essential administrative position that supports the smooth operation of PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) sites. This full-time, onsite position involves skilled receptionist and secretarial duties tailored to medical office environments with a focus on patient and caregiver interactions. Successful candidates will become part of Providence Home and Community Care (HCC), a dedicated service line with over 8,000 caregivers providing comprehensive services to nearly 200,000 people annually in various settings including homes, clinics, and congregate living ministries. The role requires proficiency in office clerical functions, customer service, and basic computer skills to facilitate day-to-day administrative operations.
In this role, the Clerical Assistant is expected to manage front desk duties at PACE sites which include welcoming visitors, managing multi-line telephone systems, and ensuring accurate and confidential handling of sensitive information. The position also supports finance functions such as accounts payable and cash handling, making it a multidisciplinary role requiring attention to detail, organizational skills, and strong communication abilities. This is a daytime position offering a competitive base pay ranging from $19.40 to $29.08 per hour depending on experience, with the potential for additional compensation through shift differentials, overtime, bonuses, and other incentives.
