As a Warehouse Associate, you will be employed on a contract-to-hire basis, beginning with a 90-day contract at an hourly wage of $19.00, with potential to transition to permanent employment based on performance and business needs. In this role, you will join a reputable company specializing in high-quality repairs and services for cable television (CATV) broadband equipment. You will work onsite in West Chicago, IL, within a clean room environment that highlights individual workstations and a highly collaborative team atmosphere involving approximately 35 employees. The role encompasses responsibilities vital to the operational efficiency of the warehouse including meticulous inventory tracking, managing product staging, and preparing shipments through systems such as FedEx and UPS. Additionally, part of your duties will involve the safe operation of material handling equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts, requiring focus on safety and precision. This position offers a stable schedule with consistent working hours from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, along with occasional overtime shifts that may run from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, including some Saturdays. The role demands a candidate comfortable with physical tasks, including the ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally, and demands proficiency with RF scanners and computer systems for day-to-day operations.
