The role of Cashier is essential in this retail setting. The Head Cashier role is a supervisory position charged with positioning cashiers effectively, expediting price checks, and approving point-of-sale transactions including markdowns across various registers such as mainline, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. The Head Cashier provides the first level of escalation for customer concerns, offering timely solutions to challenges that may arise during transactions. Additionally, this role supports the training and development of Front End Associates and new Cashiers by coaching and mentoring them to improve their skills and performance. This position requires experience, leadership capability, and a comprehensive understanding of the point-of-sale systems and retail policies. The preferred qualification for the Head Cashier is more than one year of experience as a Cashier. The employment type is full-time, focusing on building a strong front-end team for optimized customer service and operational success.
