This full-time position, classified under the pay plan/grade 42/17, offers a dynamic and rewarding work environment in a public service setting. The Golf Cashier plays a pivotal role by managing all payment transactions for golf play and memberships using a computerized cash register system. This role is not just about cash handling; it demands excellent customer service as the cashier is often the first point of contact for golfers and members alike, answering phones and operating various office machines including personal computers, typewriters, and copy machines. The position requires a dependable and self-motivated individual with strong communication skills to interact effectively with the public and staff.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• some general clerical and cashiering experience preferred
• knowledge of Golf Trac software preferred
• experience in golf course operation or recreation facility operation preferred
• ability to type accurately from a rough draft at 35 wpm
• ability to interact effectively with the public
• legible handwriting
• dependable and self-motivated
• ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• able to perform occasional light lifting up to 10 lbs
• ability to talk, hear, see, read, handle, or feel objects and controls
• available to work any day including holidays from 6:15 a.m. to 6:15 p.m
• willing to work full-time in a quiet indoor office environment
