The role of Cargo Screening Officer at Menzies Aviation in San Francisco International Airport is crucial to ensuring the safety of air cargo by adhering strictly to the Minnesota Screening Program (MSP) and the Air Cargo Indirect Screening Program (ACISP). The position is scheduled for evening shifts (PM) and offers an hourly pay rate of $25.00. The primary responsibilities include carrying out rigorous screening procedures using advanced screening equipment such as X-ray machines and Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) devices. Operators in this role are tasked with identifying potential threats, including improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and other hazardous materials, to prevent these from being transported on aircraft. Successful candidates must uphold company safety policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), safe equipment handling, and adherence to vehicle operation guidelines. Employees in this role will also engage routinely with stakeholders such as airline customers, TSA agents, and Customs and Border Protection officials, ensuring professional communication and collaboration.   • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Possess and maintain valid US driver's license
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing to include drug testing and a physical
  • Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English
  • Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively
  • Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
  • Pass FBI background and obtain US Customs Seal
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Prior loading and unloading of heavy products or equipment preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Must pass driver's test with the Department of Airports and obtain a driver's license to drive on Airport Operational Area (AOA)
