The role of Grill Order Cook at the Graniteville, SC location represents a full-time opportunity where the incumbent will work evening to night shifts from Monday through Sunday. Reporting directly to the Director of Cafeterias, this position offers an hourly wage between $16 and $18, with additional shift differentials for both weekday and weekend hours. The Grill Order Cook position is pivotal in ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently and meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for cooking a variety of menu items, such as meats, vegetables, starches, and other side dishes, using various cooking techniques including frying, grilling, and sautéing. Attention to detail and adherence to food safety guidelines are essential to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment. In this role, the Grill Order Cook will collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy shifts, assist with food preparation tasks, and contribute to maintaining overall cleanliness including dishwashing duties when necessary. This position demands flexibility, reliability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Compliance with company policies, dress codes, and participation in required drug testing and background checks is mandatory. • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test as well as random drug screens required by the plant location and background check
• Ability to work Monday - Sunday 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM, 7:00 PM - 3:00 AM and/or 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM
• Attends work and shows up for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• 2 years of related work experience
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and cash-handling procedures preferred
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours)
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 40 pounds
• Must comply with dress code requirements
