The position available is for a full-time Outlet Busperson, offering hourly compensation. This essential role focuses on supporting servers to deliver the highest levels of service quality to guests while ensuring exemplary cleanliness and sanitation standards within the dining areas during operational hours. The Outlet Busperson is responsible for maintaining tables in a presentable state with clean china, glassware, silverware, and linens, ensuring a seamless dining experience. Employees in this role must be attentive, friendly, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow team members consistently. Key responsibilities include cleaning and stocking work areas according to current meal periods, pre-bussing tables, aiding servers by delivering and refilling beverages, breaking down trays of soiled items, and executing daily opening and closing duties in line with established checklists. Additional duties involve answering phones politely, assisting co-workers as required, and stepping in to provide service during the server’s absence. The busperson must also guarantee all beverage levels at tables are maintained and ensure total guest satisfaction throughout their shift.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to those having experience in a hotel or related field. Physical demands include the ability to stand for entire shifts and lift heavy loads up to 100 pounds occasionally. Outstanding communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a strong service orientation. The role requires adherence to Highgate Hotel Standards regarding attendance, appearance, uniform, and confidentiality. Furthermore, the busperson must be capable of cross-training in other hotel operational areas and demonstrate initiative in anticipating guest or operational needs.
