The role at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek is that of a full-time permanent Front Office Porter within the Rooms department. This role is key in delivering exceptional guest service by attending to the immediate needs of each guest from arrival throughout their stay. The porter is responsible for enhancing the guest experience by escorting guests to their rooms, managing luggage transport, and ensuring guests are informed about the hotel’s amenities and services. Additionally, this position requires handling the hotel’s Lexus Experience Amazing Drive Opportunity program, where the porter acts as a chauffeur driving the hotel’s luxury Lexus vehicles to and from local points of interest, adding a distinctive touch to the guest experience. This role demands in-depth knowledge of hotel services, standards, and facilities, including compliance with Brand, LQA, and Forbes service standards. The successful candidate will be a gracious ambassador for the hotel, maintaining professionalism and courtesy in all interactions with guests, staff, and the community. Essential responsibilities include maintaining vehicle readiness, cleanliness, and proper documentation for courtesy vehicles, coordinating with concierge staff, anticipating guest needs, and resolving any guest complaints to ensure satisfaction. The job also involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work areas, managing luggage storage, providing information about local attractions, and facilitating services such as laundry, dry cleaning, and shoeshine for guests. Candidates for this position must possess strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina is required to meet the demands of standing and walking for prolonged periods, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds safely is necessary. The role requires a valid Texas driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the ability to navigate the local area efficiently. Fluency in English is required, with additional languages considered advantageous.
