As a Bartender, you will be responsible for pouring Von Ebert Brewing's exceptional beers and preparing the highest quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to the restaurant's standard drink recipes. Your expertise in craft beer and microbrews will be essential in guiding guests through the drink menu, making recommendations, and explaining the unique qualities of various brews. This hourly non-exempt position reports directly to the Restaurant Manager and does not supervise other staff. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, physical stamina to work long standing hours, and a basic understanding of responsible alcohol service. Bartenders will also be expected to manage food and beverage transactions, maintain cleanliness and organization behind the bar, and assist in restocking and inventory management. • Must be 21 years of age
• be able to communicate with and understand guests
• have working knowledge of craft beers, microbrews, wine, liquor and common drink recipes
• possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register
• be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 8 hours
• be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
• must have OLCC Serving and Food Handlers Permits within 30 days of employment
